The representative office of SPRI in United States facilitates business relationships between the Basque Country and United States and strengthens the institutional ties between both communities.

The office of SPRI in United States is located in Chicago. Its workforce is made up of local professionals and basques with ample experience in the development of projects and the promotion of investment in United States.

In the past few years this office has taken part in the establishment of commercial, industrial, and technological collaboration agreements between local and basque companies in different sectors, such as; electronics and industrial automation, machine-tools, aeronautics, energy, environment, agricultural engineering, forging, iron and steel (engineering, facilities, products), gourmet food, software, and railway material.

Over the past couple of years, SPRI has also collaborated with the organization of numerous institutional delegations and foreign investors to the Basque Country, as well as with study missions in such fields as technological parks, urban regeneration and industrial restructuring.
